The fourpillars chart is the blueprint of a person. It reveals potential of a person and possibilities of events as opposed to certainties in life. These potentials or inborn qualities may or may not be expressed depending on cirumstances of a person's life i.e. the country the person was born, his/her upbringing and family background. By knowing our potential, we can better prepare ourselves and make adjustments in our life to make this potential becomes reality. Our fourpillars chart must be balanced to live a harmonious and productive life. If it is not, we must determine the element/s that is/are needed to bring the chart more balanced. The element/s that will bring balance to the chart is/are called our favorable elements. Enhancing our favorable elements helps us achieve our potential. The elements that cause imbalance in our chart are our unfavorable elements. These elements cause obstacles in our life and hinder us to achieve something great.
Year Pillar equals Society / Grandparents Palace Month Pillar equals Parents / Childhood / Siblings Palace Day Stem equals Yourself Day Branch equals Marriage Palace Hour Pillar equals Children
The next step now is to determine the strength of her true birth element. We must remember the "Strengthening Cycle" of the elements discussed in one of the pages in this website. The water strengthens the wood while the wood, itself, assists the birth element. The birth element, Yang Wood, has very good roots in tiger, rabbit and pig. Further, the month branch is Rabbit in which the primary element is wood. When a person is born in the month in which the primary element of the month branch is the same as his/her birth element or day stem, the person's element is considered timely. This adds strength to her birth element. Moreover, the yang water in pig (year and hour branches)nourishes the wood and at the same time offers protection from the attack of metal. Again, this adds strength to her birth element. The 2 metals in year and month pillars are not timely. Therefore, there is little harm. We can conclude that this person is strong wood person. Having said that and under normal chart, her favourable elements are fire and earth. These elements would help drain her strong wood element. Metal is favorable as long as it is not accompanied by water. Water and wood are both unfavorable as these add strength to her birth element. Determining favourable/unfavourable elements under special type charts will not be discussed here.

We can say that this person has a pretty good childhood with strict parents yet supportive of her. The Marriage Palace has wood as primary element in earthly branch which is her unfavourable element. Though the marriage could bring her wealth (the earth in hidden day branch), the person might not be happy. The person could pursue careers that are represented by her favourable elements to become successful. There are also the 10 year luck chart and annual luck chart that need to be considered and analyzed to determine if the person is enjoying good years or not. Copyright ©
